LAURA VIGILANTE
ABOUT
Laura Vigilante is the Director and Chief of Staff for FTI Cybersecurity. Previously, she was the Director of Corporate Affairs and Brand Marketing for CNN Worldwide. She was responsible for all awards strategy, submissions, and communications for every team and entity under the CNN Worldwide umbrella, as well as philanthropy/CSR and brand marketing. She determined the strongest content for CNN throughout the year and strategized how to best present and position that work for success. Under her leadership, CNN won 73 Emmys - earning the network more Emmys in the past 5 years than the previous 32 years combined - making CNN the most decorated cable news network. Vigilante was named to Cablefax’s 2020 “Most Powerful Women” list and honored as a top young woman in cable. She was also responsible for CNN's "Team Beans" engagements and initiatives, which benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Vigilante began her marketing and media career as an undergrad at Columbia University, producing 360° marketing and grassroots campaigns for award-winning Sundance documentaries, including Oscar nominee The Square (Netflix), American Promise (POV), God Loves Uganda, (PBS), Inequality for All (RADiUS-TWC), and Escape Fire (CNN). Upon graduating with honors from Columbia, earning recognition for her outstanding commitment to inclusion, global diversity, social justice, and multiculturalism, she was named Creative Executive at Candescent Films. In this role, she provided financial, creative, and strategic support to filmmakers and documentaries, such as Oscar nominee Cartel Land (A&E). Prior to CNN, she was an independent marketing consultant & producer. Her clients included nonprofits and award-winning directors and films such as, Nuts! (Amazon), Unrest (PBS), Private Violence (HBO), Thank You for Playing (POV), and Obit (Kino Lorber). She was also an Associate Producer on the Spirit Award nominated film The Departure and worked on the global launch event for HP Inc. Vigilante serves as an awards judge for the Emmys, Gracies, and Royal Television Society (RTS). She was an NCAA Division One runner at Columbia, a Footlocker Cross Country National Finalist (placing 16th in the country), and an Olympic Development Soccer Player (ODP) from New Jersey.
